The Present Simple Tense
Learn how to form and use the present simple tense to talk about habits, facts, and regular activities
The Present Simple Tense is one of the most commonly used tenses in English. It's used to describe habits, unchanging situations, general truths, and fixed arrangements.
Explanation
To form the present simple tense, we use the base form of the verb for 'I', 'you', 'we', and 'they'. For 'he', 'she', and 'it', we add -s or -es to the base form. For example:
- I work in London.
- She works in London.
- They play tennis every weekend.
